Baked Autumn Oatmeal Apples

Ingredients
4 Cosmic Crisp apples, cored and halved
½ cup Heinen’s old fashioned oats
½ cup Heinen’s light brown sugar
⅓ cup Heinen’s raw pecans, chopped
1 tsp. Heinen’s ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. salt
¼ cup Heinen’s butter, melted
¼ cup water
1 tsp. lemon juice
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish and set aside.
- Scoop out the center of the apples so there is space for the oatmeal filling.
- In a large bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar, raw pecans, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and salt. Stir well.
- Stir in the melted butter until the mixture is crumbly.
- Spoon the mixture into the center of the prepared apples and place in the prepared baking dish. Fill the baking dish with the water and lemon juice.
- Bake uncovered for 50–60 minutes, until tender.
